Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lift pump?

I am jetting a p0216 code. From what I read this is the mother of them all code. The code appears when I run it hard on a long pull or try and put my superchips programmer back on. Programmer want run right either cuts out at higher rpms. Bumped the starter to see if pump would cycle for 30 seconds. It cliked once or twice and quit did this twice. The third time it ran

for 30 seconds but sputterd every once in a while. Don't have the fuel pressure gauage . Last checked it though it was around 15 pounds Idle

?? running down road. I have a vulcan relocate kit. Should I start looking for a lift pump and from were??? The bad part is I need the truck to pick up a stock trailer about 450 miles away.

0216 code is injection (vp-44) the lp has likely failed and taken out the vp-44. without a fuel pressure gauge it could have failed sometime ago.

From what i have read hear and have experienced myself most 02 rigs have had the 216 code. mine was almost a year ago. Still under warranty?

Did they replace the injector pump for you or are you still driving on the same one??
