Is a FASS type pump worth it or should I stay with the stock fuel pump? Thanks in advance.

Correct mechanical is going to be more reliable and will work just fine. HOWEVER, if you want to go with an electric pump, you'll benefit by not having to crack lines if you run out of fuel or otherwise lose prime.

the fass is a piece of junk. if you think you must go electric get a brushless pump. I think genosgarage.com is carrying the carter one
