I just added a booster pump to my 2000 today. I have the original lift pump still. (56K) miles. I was getting 11-12 at idle,6-8 criusing down the road. with the comp off,and dd3's i got 4 psi WOT,on level 3 on the comp,I could hit 0 PSI,on level 5,can you say Vacuum?. I think my original lift pump is still good,I attribute the low pressure to my HP level. I added a Carter I got the kit from Enterprise engine,The Mitchell's. The kit was here in 3 days, excellent service, everything except wire was included. I ran it hard tonight after the install to see what i have now. When i did this today,I also put on all the rest of my Ray's banjo bolts, and drilled out the restrictive banjo fittins between the lift pump, and fuel filter housing. Now i have 19 PSI at idle,15-16 cruising, and no less then 6 psi, wide open,on level 5 on the comp. I rigged the new pump up,to see what it put out ,by itself,6-7 psi. i cant beleive this pump boosted my pressure by that much. I cant feel a power difference, at all,but i may not be able to feel a smalll increase.
