Hi Everyone,

I too have been through a lift pump failure at about 25,000 mi.

It couldn't have happened at a worse time, that's another story.

Not to say there is a good time.

After reading all of the posts on lift pump failures I have eliminated the stock lift pump, and mounted a Holley pump back by the tank.

I need to install my Westach gage soon, I'm being lazy in the cold weather!

I guess the point of this post is how many of us have had this problem and how little Dodge/ Cummins has done to alleviate it!!

It seems like total B. S. that we have to re-engineer a fatal flaw

like this for them! Especially if it wastes the VP44 in the process.

Are there any letters or lists to get on to voice our anger over this issue? If so sign me up!

I feel like most of you having to go through the dealers is something I want to avoid. The B. S. is more than I

need, another problem Dodge needs to fix.

My truck is running well since I've replaced the stock lift pump with the Holley, no problems yet.

I'm MAD that a good truck has a fixable problem and it seems to have fallen on deaf ears!

Thanks for listening Chuck

Chuck, the lift pump problem is one that wont go away. I don't know who in Dc to contact but since you already have put in the Holley. The only thing I can tell you is run what you have , put some gauges in to monitor it and if your Holley doesn't last long, try something else. There are alot of good members here that have come up with different ideas and are trying different options on the pump flaws. Good luck and keep monitoring what goes on with the lift pump options so you can best make your own decisions for you truck. Don
