For those of you running a skyjacker front leaf springs (2. 5") have you had trouble with the shaft being too short? Took the truck wheelin and pulled the splines out today. Where is a good place to get a longer shaft or get mine lengthened. Its a reman from Napa. thanks, alonzo

yoke contact

Hey Farmerzo.....

I'm having a bit of rear driveshaft universal troubles at the moment, but just referred to a situation I'm having w/ the frt. driveshaft in my posting.

I have the SJ 2 1/2" Springs in the front of my std. cab truck. The driveshaft length is long enough to accommodate the lift w/o issue (Or so I thought until I read your posting). The concern is, due to the angle change of the frt. driveshaft after the lift..... It's possible (& probable) that the U-joint caps & bolts will make contact w/ the driveshaft yoke. Mine does in aggressive 4x4 situations only, but I have 'witness marks' to prove it.

A good driveshaft shop could weld on a larger yoke (& U-joint) to bulletproof this issue if concerned. Maybe I'll have mine done while they're looking over the rear driveshaft in mine.
