Greetings from SoCal!

I would like to lift my D250 about 2 or 3 inches, front and rear. I don't want to go overboard, but it really sits a bit low, especially in the front, and I kind of like the majestic look of the 4WD models.

I've been searching the Internet for lift kits, but the only ones I found are for the 4WD models. I don't want a body lift, for obvious reasons, meaning lifting the rear would probably be easy by using a spacer block, but in front it would probably require some kind of spring perches and longer springs.

Does anybody know if anyone ever offered such a chassis lift kit for 2wd 1st. Generation Rams?

Thanks,

first thing to do would be jack up the front end from the center of the truck to the desiered ride height and see if the a-arms will be able to ride there. Look at caster, camber and toe angles and see if any of them have changed much. If not than just a longer spring would do it for you.

Bpaulsen, I have been through this search and checked into this before. I put a link of what the first gen guys told me about. I want to do the same thing you're doing, but from what I got, I don't think 3 inches is achievable. Look at their readers rigs. I like the look the got, but they dont look like a 4x4. I still would consider doing a body lift, just do a reasonable height. Good luck and please post what you come up with!!

PS- What I came up with was to do a small body lift(1" block) to the cab, the moog 7226S spring in front(1. 5" taller) for a total of about 3 or so inches. Them the rear is simply blocks under the bed and spacer under leafs. this was my plan. I was beat to the truck by another buyer. STILL LOOKING FOR A NICE REG CAB, 2WD, truck for sale!!! Thanks!!!
