I am planning on getting a fuel pressure gauge soon but I have had two CTD with no LP problems. First was a 99, traded at 130,000, and my current truck an 02 with 70,000. Both trucks pulled the same 7000 lb trailer every mile. Both trucks have no engine mods and the 99 has 230,000 on it now with no problems. Do I need to worry about the low pressure problem? I did notice something a little strange with the 02 truck. I just got the truck home and was hanging all the toys on it when I started it up to turn the wheels and I revved it up a little it smoked and missed but idled fine. ? Several times after that within the next 40,000 miles or so it would do it when I left in the mornings on a cold engine but has not done it since. Now the exhaust question: I was thinking of putting the 5 inch exhaust on without a muffler or ressinator. I am running the factory pipe with the ressinator but no muffler now and like the sound. Is it going to be way to loud or should I put the muffler on it? I can't see putting a muffler on a CTD but don't want it to get annoying. I know it won't make anymore power but man does it sound good!Thanks, I will be checking daily for responses.
02 CTD 70k 5 speed, reg cab, 4x4,2500, major tunes, (Ask me how I did that!), LED under truck lighting ( you oughta see this! WAY better than neon), bone stock engine ( made my livin with both trucks, needed reliability and high milage out of them so I left them alone) and tons of other custom stuff that I made
