95 3500 with NV 4500 198000 miles. Above 30mph there is a grinding noise. It usually starts as soon as I get into 4th and continues on into 5th. Gear doesn't seem to make a difference though. The noise stays constant in or out of gear with or without the clutch in as long as it over 30. Even rolling down hill up to speed without shifting at all as soon as it hits 30 the noise starts, and stays constant until its back under 30.
Ive been replacing parts to get rid of it and no luck. So far the front rotors, pads, wheel hub bearing, U-joints, fan pulley, alternator, water pump, Power steering pump and steering box, and rear shoes. Fan hub bearing checked and given the OK at the shop.
The only possible suspects left that I can think of are the driveshaft or a trans bearing. Any other advice would be appreciated im running out of ideas and its driving me crazy(er)
