Hi. My light bulb quit behind my fuel gauge on my 2007 truck. Is there an easy way to get to it? I was thinking of pulling the side panel next to the door and get it thru there? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. Herb

Crap. That's what I thought! Does anybody know the bulb size? I've been in the owners manual and service manual. I'll know when I tear it apart. I was reading that LEDS will last longer. I thought of replacing them all to start from scratch. I've seen red ones on eBay but don't know the size nor the sellers! One said T4 and another said T5s. These newer trucks are a pain for simple repairs. Must be to keep the shop going. Thanks, Herb

You can call a dealer to get the actual part number, and decide how you want to go from there. But you are correct in thinking about changing them all. Once you spend the time to get access to the back of the instrument cluster you may as well replace them all. When one goes out the others can't be too far behind. I've thought about LED's when the time comes, too. But I also wonder how they will look. The OEM bulbs provided a nice background, and I don't know if that will be the same for the LED's, in part because of the dual brightness settings when the headlights are either on or off.

Wow. Thanks for reminding me of the dual brightness of the bulbs. If I try LED, I might put the panel in enough to test to see the results. I can test with my barn doors closed. Anybody try LEDs? Thanks, Herb

Part number for the dash bulbs is 04839738AA

I bought a pack of 10 and changed all in my dash when I had it out and put the good pull outs back in the bag and tossed in the glove box.

Is that a common thing in the 07 5.9? The same light went out in mine maybe 2 years ago, I figured I would wait until at least 1 more went before replacing them. vr1967 thanks for posting the part #.

I had a few go out that I replaced one at a time, by the 3rd one I just put all new ones in. On the plus side I can have my cluster out, bulbs replaced and the new bulbs installed in under 10 minuets. I had a friend that put LEDs in and there were annoyingly bright IMO. If you have an 06 with Tach issues its a great time to address that too.
