2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission light switch on 98.5 vs. 99-02

The light switch on 98. 5 (new dashboard) is the ancient style pull knob while the 99-02 is a turn knob. Will the 99-02 style fit directly in the dash of the 98. 5? Both plug and fastening screws?

I want to know the same thing, I would like to update the light switch on my '98 12-valve to the '99 plus.



There are different switches depending on if you want a cargo light control, and if you have fog lights. I don't think the '98s have cargo light control.
