I have this anoying rattle coming from the light switch it only does it when the truck is ideling like sitting there in park or at a stop light whats the best way to fix it.
The nearest I can figure is that the nut on the front of the switch has come loose??? Check to see if the switch is actually the cause as it will require some dash dismantling to fix it.
Basically there is a large phillips head threaded retainer on the front of the switch to hold it to the dash.
First remove the dash bezel, the trim basically. Remember to only get it out about 1 -2 " to remove the plug to the Cummins control center.
Next you will have to remove the switch knob, this is a knob and rod together, you have to reach under the dash and on the front of the actual switch there is a spring loaded little button. This releases the switch knob/rod. Took me alot of swearing the first time I did this, didn't know about the release. .
After that there is 3 screws holding the plastic cover on the front of the switch area, it also holds the power mirror toggle. Under that there is the switch retainer...
I hope this makes sense... Good Luck.
With my lights, I tend to toast switches... LOL. .
