my friend who is a TDR member but doesn't want to post has a problem with his 98 TD. . His Light Switch has come loose. He advises it came out towards him about 3 inches. He said it seemd to be disconnected. He lost his Lights , said he pushed it in and out several times and the head lights would light and then go out and one time his dash lights were on but head lights were out. . Anybody know a FIX for this?? tks Radar Doctor for Don

Sounds like the body of his light switch behind the bezel is unplugged or burnt. Remove the ash tray, the bezel around the instrement panel and remove the 3 screws that hold the light switch in. Look carefully at the switch body and the wires. I think the large green wire is the headlight wire. If it is melted or burnt it needs replaced. Was a SB in 96 for that very problem on the 3500's. I think it is SB918, hopefully. It's not hard to do. It's been done on mine lots of times.
