Lightning Bolt

I have a 2008 CTD, a few weeks ago it started to stumble as I would leave a stop sign and the lightning bolt (ETC) would come on just for second then go off, there are no codes and it does'nt do it very often. Any ideas what the problem is, where is the ETC located and how much does it cost.

9 out of 10 times w/ the ETC lighten up. One or both batteries are going out. These new trucks w/ all the software and electronic gadget, will do funny things when the voltage drops. It can and will affect how your truck operates. Try batteries first.

Load test each battery, check and clean connections. Check both ends of the ground cables.

I can guaranty you there will be something stored in memory,the scanner you are using may not be up to the task

I have a INNOVA 3130 but I just got back from the dealer after spending $60. 00 they found no codes, any more suggestions ? It ran fine yesterday and this morning, it only does it taking off from a stop.

No two footed driving and no codes
