Hi All, whats up with this, yesterday i was driving at night and i tilted my wheel down and my headlights went out? It only does it on low beam, when i put on the high beams the lights came on? not a clue on this one. Any help would be appriciated. TIA:confused:

Had the same think happen on my 97 Ram. Turned out to be a wire connector that had come loose in the steering colum. Connector has a screw in it to hold the plug together, but on mine the wire actually was loose in the connector and there was a broken plastic stop that is supposed to hold all of the wires into that half of the connector. To check if this is the problem try to pull the wires up toward the steering wheel when you have the wheel tilted all of the way down. That's how I figured out what was wrong. To repair you have to remove the cover that is behind the steering wheel. I believe it takes a torx type screwdriver to get up into 2 of the screws. The cover is in 2 pieces,a upper and lower section. I can't remember which connectors that the wire will be in, but you should be able to find it by moving them around until the lights go out again. I think that the wires get too tight when the wheel is tilted down and causes the connectors to fail.

I pulled all of the slack I could get and wire tied the harness to reduce the pull on the headlight connector. Had to also epoxy the wire back into the connector to keep it from pushing out when reconnecting the wire connector.

Hope this helps. Sorry about the long post.
