Liking the 2 cycle fuel additive.

Spent last weekend in Laramie, Wy. and it was a blizzard. 7 degrees at nights, no way to plug in the truck. The 03 started right up in the mornings. An hour of idling and 60 miles of 4 wheel drive @ 60 mph netted 18. 4 mpg on winter fuel on the 235 mile return home. Yeah, I'm liking the 2 cy oil as a fuel additive.

I like the 2stroke oil also. I dont usaully go for things that really just make me feel good. But the two stroke oil gives me piece of mind for that one tank of fuel where they went lite on the the lube package.

That's the deal with adding lube. Who knows who's doing what. I spoke with the transport driver for Loaf & Jug and he told me the refiner adds some BUT all Wy. L&J diesel has a package added, he had just added IT before dumping his load. So the transport driver is the chemist, no testing, no nothing, dump in some for your load size if your customer (the fuel station) wants you to. Wonder if the last guy forgot?? This stuff cost $, so can they be trusted with no regulations to take out of their pocket for you and me, I think not. So I try and protect my equipment. It gripes me with 3 out of 10 vehicles here using diesel, we can't get regulation.

I'm also concerned about compatibility of additives, every additive has a warning about mixing with others. So it becomes a situation where no one knows what's going on or if they're even doing the right thing. I do know for a fact that XPD will dissolve a Howes fuel treatment jug in about 2 days, I've got what left of the jug. Now that was a shock, talk about a solvent, wow.
