have the 410 rear and diferential not working. On a sharp turn she grinds and bucks. Changed rear end seal due to leak, pulled cover and cleaned, put back fresh gear oil and 1 bottle additive from mopar. Still does not work. any thoughts please.

I don't know about the grinding part but I have to use about 1 2/3's bottles +or- on mine. I don't use Syn. oil though. I add a bottle or so and drive it and if I need a little more I add it a little at a time. Just don't put to much.

Does it only do it around corners? I had the same issue with my 2000, but it had close to triple the mileage that you show in any of your trucks in your sig. The clutch packs in the diff can sometimes plug up. I had to pull the entire assembly, spray the clutches liberally with an entire can of brake cleaner, and blow em down real good with compressed air. While i was in there, i replaced the pinion and axle seals. Its been a good long term fix, i put several thousand miles on it before selling to my friend whose been daily driving it for about a year and a half with no issues.

Just what about your limited slip does not work? Be specific. How bad was the leak? Did it run dry?
Usually a bit of bucking and grinding indicates a lack friction modifier and is quite normal.

I had the same problem. I went to Randy's Ring & Pinion and bought a clutch pack, it's not that expenses and easy to replace. When you go to re-assemble it you can push the pack down with your hands letting you know that the springs and clutches are aligned.

thanks for the info. today I went to drive and it is perfect. Modifier and oil must have seeped in and is performing normal now.

When the axle is cold they react different than when hot. I like the more severe slip so I don't use modifier. When the axle is cold it is unnoticed but when hot it will chirp the tires on a turn when empty and clunk loaded.
