If you all want to be seen and reduce some of the tailgating I recommend the Line of Fire LED light bar. Unbelievably bright at night. Plugs into the 4 prong trailer light harness and does turn signals, running lights and brake lights. IMHO it is a real nice addition to the truck.

Tape or screws---I used the tape. I love looking in the rear view, even during the day, and seeing people squint because it is so bright and obnoxious. It is really a surprise to those behind you when the running lights are off and you tap the brake or flip on the turn signal because it is kind of hidden until the bar lights up.

Just replaced my stock headlight bulbs with the PIAA extreme white bulbs and they made a huge difference.

In case you can't already tell, I really like those behind me to have no reason to say they didn't see me and I really like to see everything in front of me as best I can. Gonna replace the stock fog bulbs with the same PIAA bulbs as soon as I can find them.

bertram65, are they l. e. d. lights? are they replaceable?i have seen one on a caddy and little by little it is goin out in areas. i would like to get this but need to know if it is repairable. thanks, carl

I installed mine onto the lip of the tailgate... . underneath. You can't see the bar but at night it lights up the space under the tailgate. I have a white truck.

I do not think it is repairable, all the LEDs are sealed in plastic. If some go out the whole thing would have to be replaced. I will take some pictures tonight at dusk and post them.

On my truck they only come on with the brake lights and or turn signals. What did you rewire? When I hit the brakes day or night you can't miss them.

Is there any kind of warranty on them. I know on our led lights they all have warranties on them but more than half of them have to be burned out to replace them for new. Those would be real nice to have but not if you have to replace them out of pocket regularly. How long have you guys had yours on and have you had any leds burn out yet. They look good on there.

What could possibly be illegal about them----not saying that they aren't, or what you are saying is untrue but what about making the rear more visible could possibly be illegal??

I installed mine at the same time that I put my RoadArmor bumper on. Everyone thinks it's part of the bumper. Never had a problem with the Law so far about it. Then again I try not to talk to those guys too much. :D
