I have Line X in my bed and have for the last 5 years. I have to be honest and say that when I got mine done, the salesman that sold me my truck knew the Line x guy that was just opening his shop. Got like 50% off the install for going with his buddy and that was the deceiding factor for LineX at that time.

That being said, I now feel that Line X IS the way to go. 5years of abuse and have had no problems with mine and it still looks decent. Plus u gotta love a warranty that is basically, "You break it and we'll fix it for free, forever!"

I had Line-X installed in my Ram ( over the bed rail ) before picking up my truck new from the dealership. It faded a little bit in the 3 1/2 years I had the truck. I ended up having an improperly bundled load break apart on me, the load shoved the front of the bed right into the cab, but never cracked the Line-X. The insurance ended up having the Line-X touhed up ( I guess with a fresh coating ) and it looked as good as new! As soon as my new 06 Mega Cab 3500 comes in I'm getting the Line-X xtra done to it!

I DEFINATELY recoment Line-X!

I'm also going to have my trailer done with it to quiet it down and make it last longer.

Rhino in my town went belly up so I got a line x . I did my long bed truck and went over the rails and tailgate cap for $289. The sprayin bed liner companys in San Antonio Tx are hurting. . After doing my liner about 5wks ago I found a new company in town with some new sprayin for $250. last wk. When I first bought my truck they wanted $450-$525 so I did not get one then. Glad I waited now my bed looks good for a cheap price. :-laf

Has anyone Line-xed their fenders just where the bump out it? If so does anyone have pics. I am thinking of doing this and the rocker panels seeing as I have a couple spots of rust in that area.

I went to there web site,There are no dealers in NJ only rhino dealers around

Thats just the start of it. When I called the "closest" dealer in De, and asked about a color other-then-black, I heard more excuses and complaining than ever. (I think I heard violins)

So then I call the "next closest" dealer in Glen Mills PA- Qoute "Oh... color? It just so happens we are going to school to learn how... we will call you back in 2 weeks when we get back".

Well, that was over 8 weeks ago-no call back.

Friedson. . I have said it before... and I'll say it again- Linex might be everything its supposed to be, but service sells... ... and some of the dealers aint gettin' the service part.

I ordered my '03 from Dave Smith in Idaho. I had them color match (flame red) the spray in liner over the rails and the rockers all around. I picked it up in November '02. To this day I have not noticed any fading at all. Besides the fact that it doesn't shine/reflect like paint, you cannot tell where the liner stops and the paint starts. A couple months after I had the truck, I called them and ordered Bushwhacker flares and had them color match spray them as well. They on the otherhand have faded a bit. More noticeable near the edges where the material must be a bit thinner. It has turned a little pinkish. Other than that, I am very happy with the "Turbo Liner" product they used.

See for yourself in the picture. I know it's a little grainy, but it was taken on a phone...

For those of you that have line-sed the rocker panels. Did you line-x around the corners of the doors and into the footwell? Was there any interference issues? I quess a picture of the inside would be best if you have one. It is always alot easier to see then to explain.

Thanks,

Doug

Doug, I'll have to take a look to make sure, but I think they sprayed it with the doors closed (therefore, nothing in the footwell). I don't have any interference. You can see in the picture above there is plenty of gap between the door and the cab...

Let me say this... 3. 5 years and not a single rock chip. My '97 (without sprayed rockers) was all chipped up when I sold it to order my '03.

Did you cut the top of the bed rails off?

i have had line-x for three years a friend of my owns two shops in northern va the only things is they do fade but anything will in sunlight he tells me that there is either a spray or brush touch up kit. i havent stop by yet to check it out. but it will may it look new again .

:D I had my dodge dakota linexed and my ram 3500 linexed with no problems. My dakota was linexed in 2000. My jeep interior was linexed last summer and I had the fade resistance coating added for the cost of $100. 00 extra and I have not had any fade in the sun as of yet.

I installed the Line-X liner when the truck was new (2001). They said that the light grey would fade. They were right. It still is a great liner, no cuts etc in all this time. Will use them again for my next truck, if this one ever wears out.

Nate, Yes I cut the bedrails down. I had a slight (actually not so slight) mishap with the 5th wheel. I also have a gooseneck horse trailer which needs the extra clearance. It's a project in progress... just started last week.
