Looking for someone who can Line-X or Rhino line entire truck not just the bed. Someone in the East Texas area, Houston or Dallas even west Louisianna?

Did the entire frame and lower half of a CJ-7 years ago... Worked great! It was practically bulletproof. My only regret is that I didn't do the entire Jeep... . and in purple. (You know that Line-X is available in colors, don't you?) ;-)

Their website has a locator if you don't already know of one.

Locate a LINE-X Store

Did a pair of rock rails with Rhino liner and it didn't last but a couple of months. Same rock rails with Line-x was still intact after 2 years when I sold it. (in both cases I sandblasted the rails prior to coating. )

If there was extra weight there I never noticed it and if you are referring to air resistance..... the CJ7 has the aerodynamics of a large box of bricks. If anything the rough surface might act as vortex generators and lower the resistance. Flat area is flat area no matter what it is painted with.

And, on the road I got 28, which is very good for a CJ... on the trail... . who cares, as long as it goes!?

Thanks guys. Haven"t found one yet that can do it. WHY? Because I'm disabled and can't wash and shine and buff it like I used to. Neighbor had an older Dodge done some five years ago. Stll looks good has not faded. Mine needs a new paint job with all the scrates an stuff. If I get this done I'll never have to paint it again. HURAY! I think I can sacriface a little mileage. If I keep it under 65 I get anywhere from 23 to 27 mpg. Towing around 19-21.

there is a shop in Fort Worth I have been down there a time or two. He is just barely west of downtown. He is on here somewhere. Look him up!

Line-X uses the "hot method" to apply their product. It dries almost instantaniously. Some of the others use a "cold method"

of application that takes awhile to dry. The difference, as explained to me, is that on high spots (like the ridges that go down the floor of the bed) the product wants to flow down into the lower valleys of the bed. With the "cold method", you have to apply a lot of the product to the tops of the ridges & sidewalls to counteract the slumping, thinning effect. The "hot method" dries before it can significantly slump.

I think Line-X has a product that counteracts the effects of the sun on the product, also. Something to look into. Your truck will look shinier, longer.

Another thing is that the "hot method" gives you a finer, stippled texture. The "cold method" has a texture thal looks like cottage cheese. Kind of lumpy, curd-like.

Line-x

I used to work in a truck accessories shop part time in stuttgart and we sprayed line-x on just about anything. Truck beds, jeeps, frames, lower rocker panels, even tool boxes. Pretty much if you wanted it sprayed we sprayed it. I've seen a few spray in liners, and prefer the line-x. It was probably the toughest. The rhino liner was more rubbery and could be dented with a sharp blow. About the only tougher one that I remember was "speed liner" I believe it was, and it had shards of kevlar in the mix.

I was watching mith busters a month ago or so and they did up a car with clay and dimpled it like a golf ball. It got better mileage. the liner prob. wouldnt do they same but it was kinda cool.

They are on Camp Bowie, great shop and they do great work. If you do the Line X pay a little more and get the Line X Xtra. The Xtra is guaranteed for life in writing to not fade or peel, it stays wet looking like it was just sprayed on. My bed and running boards are nearly 3 years old and still shine like new.
