Anyone use this product? I am having it installed in my bed on tuesday. It looks very nice just wondering how it holds up?

Good Stuff!

Line-X holds up very well. Just make sure they pull out all of the bed mounting bolts and hardware on the tailgate in case you have to pull something apart later on. Otherwise, you mess up your nice spray in liner by cutting it off the bolt head.

I've had both Line-X (now) and Rhino on previous trucks. Rhino is way too soft for my liking and was much more easily damaged. I've had my Line-X for almost 4 years and LOVE it. Only now within recent months do I have a few knicks here and there, will be taking it back next week FREE OF CHARGE to have it touched up. I don't know anything about removal of frame bolts- I've never seen that done. The coating can be scraped off if need be for collision repair or what not and easilt touched up.

Line-X fades. After only one year. I've seen enough trucks to see that. Other than that, it's pretty good.

Perma-Tech has the UV protection built-in, where all other companies charge you extra for a "top coat" that prevents fading.

www.perma-tech.com for a dealer near you.

The Perma-Tech is going in right over my Line-X as soon as I get a chance. The UV protection and incredible range of color matching are the two biggest benefits I can see.

Disclaimer: I'm a Perma-Tech dealer, so naturally I'm prejudiced in their favor. But do your homework, draw your own conclusions.

I had LineX on a previous truck. I liked it. I understand the installer is the most important factor. Check them out and look at some of their work. My present truck came with a nice bed liner so I figure I would beat it up for a few years before I went to the spray in. They sand down the bed before they apply the liner so I figure that I am doing some of the front end work for them with the bed liner rubbing the paint off :D

First thing done to my new truck was Line-X... Friend has it in his '99 Ford, still looks great in spite of lots of abuse - while there is some fading, it's not at all bad, no worse than the stuff used in vehicle bumper/trim parts, and the same stuff used to keep THEM looking god would probably work on the bed liner as well...

Pit Bull makes an excellent point. The installer is indeed the most important factor. My Line-X was not sprayed on very thick. I've seen Rhino Linings and other brands that were less than a sixteenth of an inch thick in spots. Perma-Tech Corporate HQ emphasizes to us that we need to give the customer his/her money's worth, and use the full prescribed amount of polyurethane, no shortcuts.

Brand preference is brand preference, we all prefer one or the other. But pick your installer with care!

Pleased w/ my UTR LineX

I'm please w/ the product, its a little asorbant when oils come into contact with it, but they leach out over time.

Ditto on the installer/dealer remark.

Makes a world of difference between "just done" and "done right".

Line-x

Two years and doing fine , did over the rails extra 50 $ but looks good and keeps the scratches down . would recommend , Yes. Ron in LOUISVILLE KYOo. Oo. Oo. :D

I have had the Line-X for a year and love it. I use the truck and it has held up very well. I do have some scrapes but they can easily be repaired. I have no fading as of yet. The installer makes a huge difference in the finished product. I highly recommend Line-X.

:) Line-X is good stuff. I've got both my trucks set up with Line-X over the rails. On my 2500 I also had the Weston nerf-bars Line-X'd. :D Just remember though, once it's in, it ain't comming out!:D

No one can claim absolutely no fading. Line-X also has UV protection, but over time everthing will fade slightly especially darker colors. I've used Line-X for several years for even commercial applications with no problems. It is as tough as it comes but make sure you find a good person to spray it in. Application is key. I also recommend over the rails... .

Line-X went out of business here due to problems surviving the local -30° F winter cold snaps. Rhino and Perma-Tech are the survivers.

My pick would be Perma-Tech id going to a spray-in liner.

Personally, I like my rubber mat. I'm thinking on using Herculiner on the sidewalls for scratch protection.

I just had mine Line-X'ed last week. Went with black, over the rails, & it looks very nice. It's sprayed on hot, and sets up in 3-5 seconds, I thought that was kinda of interesting. Sure looked bad when I got home though! A couple of miles on a dusty gravel road really picked up the dust. Still a lot better that the 6 year old drop in liner.

Have had it 2 years and love it. Maybe has faded some but not so much as to be noticed. Did pay the $50 to have over the bed rails also. Is hard stuff but nothing slides on it hardly.
