Hey Guys



Got the truck back today. First impression, it rides smoother now than it did before with the bed on it. Cost was about 6300. 00 installed. Our business is manufacturing farm equipment, we had the ability but not the time to do it ourselves.

That is actually awsome looking. Glad to see it has a good heavy sway bar.

Looks good. I'll be VERY interested in your observations after you reinstall the bed. The wife and I talked last night about having ours done. She just said she would be really mad to spend the $$$ and have it not make much of a difference in the ride.

So, please help me out with your observations please David. I love this truck, but would also love to smooth out some of the bumps.

The bed is installed and the truck is on the road. Overall ride is much smoother, now the front is a lot stiffer than the rear! With a 5000# piece on the bed the truck sits level, that's nice. Have not pulled a trailer yet. We use a 33' gooseneck and a 24' pintle hitch trailer. Hoping the ride is improved with an empty trailer, the 24' is especially rough when empty. I think it was money well spent. We're located in Hector, MN and would gladly give a test drive if you're in the area.

I would love to take a test drive. We are in Des Moines, Iowa for the summer working at Adventureland Amusement Park. Surely sometime this summer, we can find time to head up to Hector. I appreciate the offer and will definitely take you up on it. Our 5500 is a great truck, but the ride leaves a lot to be desired.

North Central Ambulance North Central Ambulance Sales and Service in Lester Prairie, MN did the install. They do quite a few Ford Ambulance applications, I think ours was the first Dodge they did. Nice work, quick turnaround. Very fair, it took longer than they expected but still stuck to their quote.

Did you just do the rear and not the front? I ask because of your earlier comment about the front being much stiffer than the rear now.
