Competition My best pull yet....VIDEO

Competition First pass in over a year - 7.52

Finally got my liquid to air intercooler core from TURBONETICS.

I used this core with a 3" inlet and had them make the outlet 4".

Thanks to my mechanic Joe of Joker Fabrication for all your hard work on this project, he had to bust some serious @SS to get this thing finished in time for my Saturday hook. . I keep him covered up with truck projects. He designed and fabbed up the piping, mounted the core, the custom intake manifold, and installed the custom bent injector lines. (Pretty much everything involved)

Please excuse the wiring nightmare and the DIRTY motor, we were more concerned about getting it running and hooked than about looks. Finishing touches are rarely done the first time around because every project on this truck require there be a last minute rush for some stupid part we can't find or a fabrication hangup. This project was literally finished Friday night at 9PM, I hooked Saturday at around noon.

I've been sick and have been doing all I can to keep up with the phones around here.

I don't have an intake air temperature gauge hooked up yet, but I know between the custom manifold and the liquid to air core spooling is MUCH improved, street drivability is improved:-laf , and power is definitely up a couple notches!

I was able to melt about 70-80 lbs of ice in one hook, I have a stadium sized 37. 5 gallon cooler in the box of the truck behind the stack. We fill the bottom half with water and the top half with ice.

For those of you that are doubtful about the length of the hoses- don't worry, they are not unsupported. We slid them over the 3" & 4" tubing so they are longer than necessary, we didn't cut them.

Put some thick zip ties around those long silicone hoses to limit their inflation under boost..... it will keep you from blowing a hose.

Hey, nice job on all the fab work!!!!! I was thinking of doing the same sort of thing with mine but decieded pass on it for now seeing I can run water and ALOT of it, it really helps with the EGT's mind you cooling the intake air would up the HP a bit its okay for now. That is pretty crazzy how you can melt that much ice in such a short time. How many more hooks do you have this year yet? I have 2 up here and am comming down to Summitville if its a go. Are you comming down again this year?

Looks good!. . RyanB

Thanks, Joe does a great job on fab work.

I was surprised as well on how much ice I can melt!

I have 3-4 hooks yet. . Shelbyville KY on Saturday, however many hooks they allow in Houston, and of course Summitville if everything is still intact :-laf

Hope to see you in Summitvile, and hope to see your truck in action personally rather than it sitting on a trailer at McDonalds ;)

I was just looking at Haisleys site and turns out Summitville is CANCELED for this year due to a conflict with the grounds... ... sucks! I wanted to pull with a good sled at least once this year! Looks like its going to be Gaston,IN next spring. I just told my wife about Summitville and she was kind of upset it wasn't a go either... . I said we can go to Houston a few weeks before that!!! a 24 hour drive though is a bit much for me right now though just because I am so busy in my shop.
