I've been asked by the family of the late Glenn Recknagel(blackcloud) to help sell his two trucks and other CTD related possessions. For those members that didn't know, Glenn had passed-away on Sept. 25th of this year due to complications from a brain tumor. Here's what he has for trucks that I'll be listing on the classified's: First one is a '96 3500 regular cab with a diamond-plate flatbed (no box). This truck has 70K original miles, has a Goerend transmission(including triple disc torque converter), TST plate and 3k gov. spring kit. It also has a 14cm housing and a ATS exhaust manifold along with 215hp injectors. This truck is very clean with low miles, and has an aftermarket Pioneer cd/stereo. His other truck is a '97 ext. cab 2500 with 80K on it. This truck is basically stock, with 215 injectors and aftermarket aluminum wheels/tires. This truck also has a cap on it and is very clean. Both trucks are 4 wheel drive, both have had the dowel pin and timing taken care of, and both have been very well maintained by Glenn. I would like your guys/gals opinion on what I should ask for these trucks. If the rain ever quits here, I'm going back out there to take some digital pictures of them both. I've also thought about listing them on Ebay, but thought I'd try on here and locally first. His mother said she would like to sell them ASAP, and so far has only gotten one low-ball offer( I thought). Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Here's some more specs on the trucks.

Both trucks are autos, the '97 has an 8' box, the '96 has a 8' flatbed. Both are SLT's. I'll try to get over there tomorrow and take some pictures of the trucks and get some pictures of the build labels. Both also have 3. 54's and I think both have limited slip rear axles. I probably should list them on Ebay, but I've never sold on there before. Although, I'm real good at buying on there :D :D

Selling on Ebay

Hello - You don't know me but I am a steel fabricator and also sell fabrication equipment on eBay under the name of 'unkleheavy'. I also think that eBay is the spot for a quick sale at top dollar. Let the entire country set the price.

I would have both detailed and then take many well lit pictures for ebay. Pictures sell, good pictures sell gooder. I ussually start items at a break even or small loss and see where they go. I am rarely disappointed. I always have them end on a Sat or Sun night (7 pm PST) and include my cell phone number on large ticket items like these. I would think about starting them mid week and a 10 day auction to have the weekend end time.

Good luck - Eric

4x2 or 4x4?

I'm sure you're just "teasing" your TDR brethren by leaving out this kind of info and won't do the same on eBay ;)

Both trucks are 4x4's. I'm off now to take some photo's and get some more information. The rain has stopped, and the sun is out, so I better get to it.

Sorry to hear about his passing,I did,nt know him but hope they go to a good home sounds like they were well taken care of them. If i was in the market for another rig i would looking into buying one of those rigs :)

Whoever gets them will be getting very nice trucks. Glenn was meticulous with his machines. He was extremely happy with the transmission in the '96 after Dave Goerend did his thing with it.

John - thanks for doing this for Glenn's family. You're a great friend.

Any updates on these trucks? I am sorry to hear of Blackcloud's passing, I remember seeing his posts and looks like he was posting 'til the end of August. Vaughn

Some other tips on ebay. . describe everything about the truck. . literally, *everything*. the more info you have about the item the better you will sell... Also investigate pricing for cross country shipping and put an estimate for each coast, as some people will be swayed by this.

Depending on how fast the family wants the trucks moved, I would try selling both here first, to stay true to the group. Mebe a week, to see if theres any leads. Then i`d ebay em. .

PM me if you need any ebay help, I have 300+ sales on there...

Jerry

John. .

PM me a price on the 97 as I may be able to move it out here for you. I have a friend who is looking for a 94-98 automatic second gen ext cab. Thanks... ... . Andy
