Forget it's a Ford

My air ride Fiver hitch.

I have a 2000 S/B QUAD, camper pkg, overload springs, sway bar, rancho RS9000's on rear. Need to stay around 2000 lbs max.

With an 8800 lb GVWR. what are good choice for lite slide in's.

looking for something used. I know the BIG Foot 8. 5BC (or something) has a dry weight of only 1650 lb but they want 25K plus for it. absurd

I asked them- where is the engine & transmission? :-laf

I've seen the Lance 815. 835, 845 anything else out there that might show up in the used market at 5k-10k ???? worth looking at. ?

Not really interested in pop ups but may be my only way in.

I looked at these last year before I bought my trailer and may get one anyway someday. They have the biggest bed in them I've ever seen in a camper. Price is right and they don't weigh as much as most.

If you don't mind driving out to the factory to purchase it, it will be worth your while.

Old campers can be fun projects and be found at low prices. Measure carefully though, old campers are rectangular, new truck beds narrow at the rear. I'm adapting an old 4wheel to fit my 96. Lot of work, lot of money saved.

I got an 80's shadow cruser I picked up for $500. 00. It is around 2K lbs loaded for a weekend trip. I used to carry it with my 98 2500 which also had the camper package. IT does work much better in my 02 Dually but I had to extend the legs which looks rather unsafe if you ask me.

Anyway, if looking at used pickup campers (or any campers) check real well for leaks. Leaks kill them real quick.
