Littelfuse Add-A-Circuit

Have any of you that have used this product run into any problems? I bought 4 of them for the Dodge Mini Fuse a while back (yes!!, had to take the first ones back when I found out about mini fuses that Dodge uses!!!!), and have installed 3 of them for power from the cab fuse block by the drivers door. In all cases both of the mini fuses are extemely tight fitting into the Add-A- Circuit device and the device itself is very loose (actually falls out easily) in the truck fuse block. It appears as though the tolerances of the Add-A-Circuit are off, smaller than the mini fuses.



I have somewhat remedied the problem by spreading open the Add-A-Circuit blades slightly, they are pressed together to form a blade thickness, and putting some foam inside the dash panel door to ensure that they do not fall out from vibration, BUT.....



Are the devices that far off always, just a bad run I got, or???????



?????? being ham-handed on the install. :{ , though all appear to be manufactured to small (blade and slot) in tolerance

i have 3 mini fuses on my 3 gauge pod installation. the problem i had was, the mini fuse fit too tight in the truck fuse holder. this is caused by the fact they did not cut the groves in the mini fuse to match the original fuse. other than that i did not have any problem. its been about 2 years since installation.

I have 2 installed in mine and they've been there for about a yr now. No problems with them, they fit tight into the fuse block and the mini fuse fits into them just the same.



I wonder if they changed them since both mine and FourBarR's are older and seem to be ok.

Interesting! The ones I have were bought about 1 1/2 years ago @ Auto Zone (non-local, and bought on a trip) , and I have been using them up as needed since. Latest install reminded me of issue.



As they fit loose in all the truck fuse block connections, wonder if the fuse block is out of tolerance, but different minifuses fitting very tight into the Add-A-Circuit slots makes me think that the Add-A-Citcuit tolerances are out on the ones I have?????



Oh Well, usual luck (bad) on things prevails!!!

I am using three of them and they work fine. One for foglights, and two for the gauges.

I've got 2 of them. They were always loose at first, but once I realized that you've really gotta force them in there to be seated right, no problems since.

I've been using them for almost 2 years with no trouble. But in thinking back I'm sure I had to get the dremel out and grind some small grooves in the add-a-circuit to seat correctly in the fuse box. If you look at the mini fuses you'll see a groove that does not exist in the add-a-cicuit. I don't know if they have changed that, but mine needed that small modification.
