mark , i have driven a ram with 420 ft/lbs plus over stock , its my daily commuter , what a rush

. it is pretty much common knowledge that to much torque down low will slip the lockup clutch , we have had that one drilled into us .
Kurt , Bill can explain it better but i'll give you a bit of first hand non-technical info on adjustable boxes and auto trans . i have 275's , a VA and a hot PE , along with a 4" exhaust . with everything turned on and the PE in level 2 , which is a stock box level 3 , my trans shifts at 3100 1-2 , 3300 2-3 . when i turn the PE off it moves down to around 2900 and 3000 , i have done nothing but turn off the pe , TV cable is still set the same . when i remove the VA , my shift points move down to 2600 rpm , still haven't touched the TV cable . what do i do and can you imagine what nightmares would be caused by 10 levels ???
i set the shift points at my highest usable HP level and live with the other shift points .
adjustable boxes are great for manual transmissions but are a thorn in the side of an automatic equipped ram , if i can duplicate my performance without an adjustable box i will probably delegate the PE to a couple times a year use item .
