Just got a new 2001 H/O 6 spd and was checking build date, etc and saw little yellow VOID stickers everywhere under the hood. If one of these is torn or missing does it automatically void the Warrantee? I have never seen them before and the SEARCH feature on this forum is over my head. I had planned on an EZ but it would destroy the stickers. I am not about to ask the Dealer about it. !

Well where did you see them? I know that they put them on the injection pump connector and also the ECM. But those are the only two I have seen with my own eyes. If you use the EZ you shouldn't disturb any of the stickers (unless they got the map sensor stickers or that data plug the EZ uses).

I don't have any stickers on my truck (Early 2001) so not sure how hard the try to void the warrenty with those stickers.

Why is the search feature over your head? Click search... . type in void sticker, then select "All open forums" then change the "Date" to any date... . and walla... . tons of info.

Little Yellow stickers

Don, My truck also has those damn little stickers,

When I installed my BD plug-in-power moduel I had

to remove one of those from the fuel pump electrical connector. However in the box with the moduel B&D had included a new yellow sticker so that you could replace the one you have to remove to plug in the new moduel. No big deal -- Good Luck. Gunny

Re: Re: Little Yellow VOID Stickers??

Katdiesel,

There are 3, the fuel pump, another 12" behind that and inboard of the fuel filter, and I can't crawl up to see what the last one is on. I searched for YELLOW VOID STICKERS and got the nothing found message. ??

Gunny,

If a extra sticker was around it would solve the problem. I would like to have a bag of them. Ha!

Just today i spoke with "Mass Diesel" at the TDR meet in CT and inquired about the "Power edge EZ" and they showed me exactly where it plugs in (The MAP sensor and the hanging plug by the power steering pump cap) and neither location has void stickers on them. That is one of the reaons i like the EZ so much. I will be ordering one from them this week, they are a great bunch of guys, super helpful.

On the search just put "void sticker" and do the other steps I mentioned above.

Guessing those first two are the injection pump connector (where the VA plugs in) and the other one should be the ECM. The third one has me puzzled, I'll have to look at my friends truck (he got two weeks ago) see if I can find more then two. When was yours built?

Thanks.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Little Yellow VOID Stickers??

KatDiesel,

YOU ARE THE MAN!! Void Sticker worked like a charm. Lot's of good info there. I crawled up inside the frame and the 3rd yellow sticker does not have VOID on it like I thought. Sounds like the EZ will not ruin either of the stickers in question. I hope not. Thanks!:p

Mine only has two stickers that I have found, one on the ECM and the other on the injection pump. What all can I gain with the EZ box. I am looking for pulling power vice speed. 6 speed with 4:10 gears. I have tha H/O engine but sometimes I think MORE IS BETTER. :D :D

See Ya

Chris:D

When I installed my Dodge OEM exhaust brake, the instructions tell you to disconnect the ECM to connect the brake wiring harness. The instructions make no menition of the VOID sticker. I peeled mine off, and then stuck it back on.

Typically you will gain 40hp peak and around 60 to 65hp down in the lower RPMs. Also it has a boos module incorperated into it so that you can run higher then stock boost levels. Also it plugs and unplugs literally in 5 minutes once you know where it goes.

I would try to find someone in your area that has an EZ on their truck and either go for a ride or if its the same year as yours borrow it for a spin.

Don, the addition of a Edge EZ to an otherwise stock ETH is awesome, should keep you smiling for many months. Try it, you'll like it :D .

Hey Scott,

The EZ is already ordered from D. I. S. These guy's have really been good to me. Brent will always get back to you with answers. I knew I would need something extra to keep that Goofy Gunny Guy off my tailgate. !;)

PS: My Build Date is 5/1/01

void sticker

I called BD and Edge about the VOID sticker with their products and they both told me that the manufacturer can't VOID your warranty just because of a sticker missing or torn. BD also mentioned that someone can steam clean their engine and the sticker goes flying off, what then? I had the same concern and will be ordering my EZ soon.
