live front axle question

Has anyone encountered problems with the 9:25 AAM front axle "U" joints? I have noticed that the Dodge truck front axle is live and is always spinning regardless of 4x4 selection. This rotation will reduce fuel milage slightly and wear on parts.

I would like to know if this has caused any problems for anyone?

There is a kit offered by www.dynatrac.com , https://store.dynatrac.com/merchant...duct_Code=CR60-2X1104-E&Category_Code=HUBKITS that converts the front axle to free wheeling hubs, and serviceable bearings, but at a cost of almost $2000. 00, its pricey.

I replaced mine at around 120,000 miles with non greasable neapco u joints and have had had no issues since... . I prefer non greasable.....
