Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Load noise

When pulling under load I hear a ringing noise. I suspect it may be my turbo impeller rubbing the housing.With 240k on the old rattler may have warning of a coming turbo failur.Any advice on what to llok for?

pull the tube off from the turbo and check radial movment of the shaft also look to see if the fins have been hitting the housing

Good advice, but I', betting it's just exhaust system harmonics. I hear mine often.
