This is Toyo's response to my inquiry about the availability of Load Range E Open Country AT's. Might answer some other folks questions about why they are having trouble finding them.

"The Open Country A/T size LT285/70R17 126S E/10 product code 301480,

has not been released yet. This tire is not available for sale

nationwide. That size is scheduled for a tentative release end of

summer/early fall 2006. The only distributor that has the tire

available on a pre-release is Les Schwab Tire Center in the Northwest

Region of the U. S.

Tak, Consumer Relations"

Seems us folk east o' the Missip as SOL until later this year.

to be honest I have them on my truck now and cant wait to get rid of them. 1/2 tread at 15k.

Nice, I just put them on two weeks ago. Have been happy with them so far, not to noisy, drive good. As many things, time will tell. My brother also put the MT's in a 33-12. 5-18, so we will see how they compare in life.

Are the the load range E tires (10 ply 126 load rating)? Toyo claimed to me that they have never been for sale on the east coast. The D range tires (8ply 121 load rating, same as factory load rating) are a totally different animal.

I have TOYO Mt's 33 x 12. 5 x 18's and they have 5k on them and i am wanting to trade them for the AT's same size... . I don't really need a Mud tire

Mine are the load range E's. Funny thing is these have a rating of some where in the neighborhood of 3780 lbs and the stock E's were only 3150 ish. Infact if I remember correct the toyo 285 load range D's have a higher load capacity than the stock BFG's.

Doughboy, PM me when your ready to sell and maybe we can work something out.
