Yea it was junk. But BOY COULD IT RUN IN A STRAIGHT LINE! Was a Vette/Z28/Big block Chevelle eater. It was STOPPING it that was exciting. Went through a few red lights with back wheels a hopping(4th to 2 nd downshift) brake warning light glaring and my foot pushing the brake pedal through the floor!

I have a 1973 Chevy K-5 4x4 Blazer with 203,000 miles on it. It is all original. A few things rebuilt, but no drive train or engine part replaced. It is ragged, noisey and loose, but starts and runs everytime. It spent 25 years in Colorado in the mountains as my father's primary transportation. Used for everything, hauling, towing, fishing and grocery shopping. It was not babied, just maintained well.

mikepvg,
The weatherstrip on 04/05 trucks are rubbed by the door being opened and closed(near the pillars on both sides) DC has a TSB to replace with new weather-stripping that is not rubbed by door. I had this done and all is great( some on here have stated hearing whistle or air leak on freeway after TSB but I have not had any problems)

I had this fixed and now wish I kept my old weather strip. I have more wind noise at highway speeds and on heavy rain I get drops of water on my arm.

The new weather strip is much smaller and doesn't seal as well..... which is DC's way of fixing a design flaw in the door. The lip goes beyond the pivot point and cuts into the strip. Poorly designed door. Even worse design fix. #ad
