Two track records were set Saturday at Byron Dragway.



Bobby Reynolds of Roscoe broke the elapsed time and speed records for diesel trucks. Driving a 6,950-pound 2003 Chevy LT Duramax, Reynolds covered the quarter-mile in 11. 88 seconds at 115. 91 mph. The former bests: 12. 26 at 114. 85.



Mike Kirkpatrick of Rockford became the first nitro-burning Harley rider to break 8 seconds at Byron. He had a 7. 07-second run at 194 mph. "

The Duramax/Allison combo is finally making some good passes at the track!
