I haven't unpacked the box of new goodies from Genos yet. The MagHytec pan may have a dimple or even a plug where the probe should be mounted but I don't think I've heard that it does from anyone who owns one.
Would someone who has installed one please tell me where specifically the new MagHytec deep transmission pan should be drilled to install the transmission temperature probe?
I've read that probe location is important for obtaining the most accurate reading. I read a discussion by Bill Kondalay on the DTT website a couple of months ago regarding the difference in oil temperatures that can be found in various locations. Bill stressed the importance of installing the temp probe in the correct location but I didn't find any photos or sketches to make it clear where he suggested the probe should be.
