I purchased new gauges for my 98. 5 and read all the instructions. The suggested installation procedure for the diaphragm isolator states "Install the isolator under the hood at any convenient location. " Does anyone have pictures or ideas where best to mount the isolator?

Thanks!

Alan

I mounted my isolater on the bracket that the master cylinder mounts to. I just drilled the side of the bracket with self tapping screws and it works great. Good luck.

I put mine right ontop of the wheel well inside the engine compartment. This spot made it really easy to tighten the nuts from the other side (above the tires). i removed the plastic part of the wheel well, installed the isolator, and then reinstalled the plastic thing. Looks and performs great.

This is what I did with my isolator..... used a greasegun hose from post-filter tapping, into isolator, then ran the small tubing from that to the gauge. I just tye-rapped the isolator to the engine oil dipstick tube. Here is a picture... ... this is my first photo attatchment, so I hope it works. ;)
