I have a ATS tran's that has good lock up. When I was at there shop in Col. , they said the lock up controller they have for my tran's would make a huge difference. If it wasn't so expensive, I probably would buy it. My question is, I've heard of using a jumper wire or a toggle switch to do this pretty cheap. Is this a possibility for me, or is there another way of engaging full lock up for cheap. I don't want to void any warrantie's if I would do this. Thank's for any suggestion's. :)

yes it is possible, we did it on a freinds truck, the only time he uses it is when he is pulling. i will have to check to see what wire it is, for some reason orange is comeing to mind. ill check on that. we just put a slit in the sheathing, sliced in a wire to a switch and a ground on the other side. flip the switch, it grounds out and the converter locks.

Is it ok to do this guys? I'm wanting to do it to my truck, but am uncertain. I've known about 3 guys that have done this and within about 8 months, they were getting transmission work done and new converters.

its the orange wire on the transmission plug on drivers side, you can also trace it back to under the hood. should be run to a non illuminated toggle switch just a basic on off switch run to a resistor then to ground. it does lock up not sure what the affects might be on converter, need more info call tony at dunrite converter in washington state.
