Finding the limits of the GM 6.2/6.5 Diesel

Cummins filtration without Ram’s influence.

I went into a gas station got out of the car with my keys still in the 2013 2500 RAM. The doors immediately locked. And I was stuck outside with no way to get in. Why did this happen and what can I do to prevent it from happening again.?

I had this happen once also. Never figured out why. But I never leave the truck without the keys fob thing in my hand or I leave a window open. Those hide a key things work until they fall off. Ask me how I know. Key fob in hand always now or window open. No more lock outs.

I carry a regular flat key in my billfold. It's saved me a few times.

Years ago, on Christmas Day at my in-laws house 150 miles from home, my wife went out and started our Caprice to get it warm for our 10 month old son. Well, she locked it because of the neighborhood we were in, not thinking about how to get back in. It cost us $150 cash for a locksmith to come a mile and a half and unlock it. THAT's when I started carrying a spare key in my wallet.
