Will the dodge power wagon electric lockers fit in my '05 dodge CTD? My dealership didn't even know the power wagon had lockers let alone find the part numbers for them. Does ARB make lockers for them yet?

The Power Wagon has a 10. 5 inch axle, most of the CTDs have an 11. 5. I don't know if the locking mechanism is adaptable. I'm sure AAM will eventually have one for the 11. 5. You might call them and ask what can be done. Both fronts are 9. 25, so the front locker should fit if you can find one.

AAM has several different types of lockers available for the alxes, but no one seems to know how to get a hold of any. I want one too. Hopefully someone can pull some strings . . .

The 9. 25inch and 10. 50 inch diffs in the power wagon are a different spline count. The electrics won't work. We went over this on another forum... they are just enough different that they will not work.

The reason there is an ARB for the 9. 25 AAM is the fact it is the same carrier used in the IFS 3/4 and 1 ton GMs... they didn't build it just for dodge, we just got lucky. To my knowledge, there are no lockers available for the 11. 50 AAM axle as of yet (However, ARB is rumored to be making one). And even though AAM lists lockers and such on there website, I haven't heard of any distributors for AAM... they won't sell to individuals.

So we are basically stuck with the tracrite LS for now.

There is also a 3rd gen owner over at PS.com that has broke the stub shaft in the AAM with an open diff and 37 inch tires... a locker will only add more stress... hopefully his breakage was a defective part...

Only problem is lincoln lockers dont really react real well with 13k lb trailers on steel flat beds and a 2100lb hitch wieght! That would make one hellva noise!

Talked to ARB a while back they were shipping one of our rear ends to Australia to see what they could do. They thought some minor changes to one of their stock units. Keep you posted

Since the Dodge AAM11. 5 isn't much different that the GM version of the AAM11. 5 (or even the Power Wagon 10. 50), I can't believe the aftermarket hasn't smoked one out since dodge, GM, and ford 3/4 and 1 tons are THE hottest trucks going (as far as off road and buildups)... the Ford Sterling doesn't have a locking diff either from what I have heard. So that makes all of the big three HD trucks lockerless... short the PW and the ford "offroad" SD.

Whichever company gets an HD locker out first will get my $$ as I purchase front and rear for my 04. 5.

I will also buy gears from the first vendor that would come out with 3. 55s (or lower) for the 11. 5/9. 25... I don't tow and could use the mpg increase.

Here is ARB's response so far:

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry to us here at ARB.

The locker you are requesting is still in the production stages. I have taken your name; email address and bumper request and entered it into our database. This database is being constantly reviewed, and if or when this part is available, ARB will contact you with that information. Thank you for being patient.

that sounds great. I would like to put a detroit in the rear and possibly a trutrak in the front :) but the e locker would prolly be better for the front as you can have it on or off whenever you wanted or needed it
