Locking gas cap on new 2022 3500

I see no way to secure the diesel filler or the def filler. Lid does not lock with truck turned off.Maybe it locks when you don’t have the key fob by the truck. I will check it out. No it doesn’t lock how should I secure this what are you guys doing

Next question is all def the same or are some brands better than others . Which’s the best def to buy?

Def is def. freshness is more important that brand. Personally I have only used Walmart house brand for the last 15k with no issues.

Fill up at the truck lanes if you want really fresh DEF.

Costco and Walmart are good places because they sell a lot.

Walmart has a straight up manufactured date on it, whereas other brands use a Julian calendar you need your secret decoder ring to figure out when it was made. Basically if you find some on the shelf at Walmart it’s almost guaranteed fresh, they move it like hot cakes.

You are doing this to keep things out? The car wash from the dealer put water in the factory filler plug on my 2018... so yeah keep something over the filler. The door seal ain't that great.

If someone wants the fuel they will do other things like: punch a hole in the bottom of the tank.

I only get DEF at the the truck stop... not that often needed and no mess with the bonus of being able to track DEF usage.

Genos diesel cap came. Pretty nice. No water or dirt in the fuel. Or anything else for that matter. Save the instructions might take a time or two to get it right
