I would like to find a place to have my new 06 2500, Auto, CTD QC/LB serviced. I'm not too concerned if it is a dealer shop or not as long as the quality of parts and service is honest and dependable. I bought the truck at DSM in case there are dealers that offends. I live in Ephrata, but since there is no place nearby that meets those qualifications, I prefer somewhere between Duvall and Lynnwood. I usually stay in Lynnwood when I go over, but visit Carnation while there.

I'm in Spokane and have been sending my stuff to a Castrol Lube center... .



I went and talked with the owner... told him 5 or 6 years ago that he could do it all... but I expected quality work and products that would withstand the test of warranty if it came to that... . I tried to have the same conversation with Jiffy Lube... they are much closer... but all I could talk to was some kid who said he was the manager... .



I also told him that I had some standards that if they stripped out a plug in the pan after say 200K miles I would expect him to stand for the repair costs... . since he's been the only one doing the work... . he sees most of the company trucks every month, as they are high milers and my personal stuff as needed... .



We do all of our own air filters, and gear oil changes... he just does the lube oil filter stuff for us... . We ask the following questions when we pick up a rig..... we also ask that he not move the air filter or open it to replace the oil filter... to keep from dropping dirt into the air intake system... its our feeling that the less this is opened the better... .



Did you find the engine oil or other fluids low at the time of service... if so which fluids... did you see any leaks... please confirm that you have greased the u-joints... .



I have 2 trucks over 350K miles, one over 230K miles and 2 under 100K miles... plus the cars... . so far no problems... .



Hope this helps... . BTW I used DSM and Dishman for my purchases as well... . Dishman has a special going all the time to do the CTD... . 27. 95 but every time we tired to walk in. . which was their policy... . we'd have to wait 2 hours... . at Castrol we are never there more than 30 min. . and usually go have a cup of coffee across the street... which works great.....



Hope this helps... . BTW the Castrol Lube center charges us like $52. 00 lots more than the dealer... . but if your paying a guy to stand there for 2 hours and wait... . you've lost money... .
