What in the heck!!!!!!!!

I ran into a gas station to grab some stuff, came back out and noticed the hanger hanging.

15 mins before that I looked in that area and it wasnt broke.

It broke right where it 90's to the hole towards the driveline.

Now should I weld it or buy a new one?

The hangers seems a bit thin to weld it. But it might save a buck or 2.

You think that's bad... .

One week was at school looking at something under the rear of the truck, and happen to notice the spare seemed to have never touched asphalt and I thought that was weird being the 3rd owner.

THE VERY NEXT WEEK I was back under the truck looking at something at school and NO SPARE!:eek: :--) :--) #@$%!

Famous cable fray got to it it appeared because it wasn't lowered and there was no way to get cutters in there w/o lowering it. :{

Hi:

I'd fix it. My rear one broke and we just ended up cleaning it and welding it. I went to the dealer to check on a new one: they had to order it and it was $60-$70 for the one:--) I just about fell on the floor, with that price our only option is to fix them. I know of many people in my area who have had this happen to them. The one guys tank completely fell off when he was driving through the field.

How about that 5 star engineering. I dont think I've ever heard of fuel tank straps breaking. You think this area would be off limits to skimping. I wonder how many nickels they saved by spot welding instead of a full weld. :rolleyes: This will probably be yet another recall at the end of a looong list of recalls. Oh well,Its just one more thing on this truck that needs bombing ;)
