Lone Star TDR is "born" !!

I think the response we have been getting is great! I have recruited a few new prospective members also that promise to show up for our first official meeting.
I know the most inportant topic we need to cover for our first meet is some good "benchracing" unless we get lucky and have a dragstrip all to ourselves!! But seriously we need to discuss the clubs goals, nominate a governing body that will be able to lead us into the next year with great events, good meets and possible eats. (BBQ always works... Ha Ha)Ways to attract new members. I for one, will do all I possibly can to see this club succeed and become one of the best Turbo Diesel Clubs in the states. Also my personal thanks to Steve StLaurent for helping Gitchesum with a chat room, I think that was the single best improvement made to the site. I also like the idea of a rotating meeting place, makes it fair for everyone. It also might encourage more to attend, being not so far away. See ya all soon somewhere(to be announced)Keep the shiny side up and the hammer down!

Thanks for the kudos Cabntblder. I was glad to help! In the GLTDR, our chat's were the biggest thing that got the club off the ground. The chat's really help build the camradarie in the group. They also give a way to have meetings to do the mundane work of setting up the club so that when the group gets together you can just have fun!! I'll be glad to help out any chapter to get it off the ground.

Where do I sign up? I'm not real close to Houston any more, but can drive , heck it is only less than halfway across the state.

Steve worried that the Great Lakes region was too big.
I believe it would fit in Texas.
More power to you guys, maybe now we can have some peace and quiet in our chats! #ad
