I'm selling a long bed camper shell that was on my 2014 RAM and an interested person would like to know if it would fit a 2012 long bed RAM. I know the 2013 is the same bed but do not know about the 2012. Anyone out there know if it is the same bed?

I sold a set of OE side steps off my 2014 , and the guy had a 2010 had the same three sets of holes each side , I’m thinking that shell should fit a 2012 Same body style .

I hope so. It's a bit of a drive from where he is and I want to be sure but I can't check with the company where I purchased it until tomorrow. I might be able to check on line as it's a popular brand.

That 2012 has to have the same bed .This guy drove about 2-1/2 hours to buy my sidesteps , about 175 miles . I pretty much gave them away .

Looks like it might be the same when I look on line at ARE shells. Says 2010 to 2018 but I would think their chart might be dated. I was concerned about the bed height and I know my 2014 bed was wider at the front than the rear.

Beds are the same from MY2010 to current. If the notes from industry sources are correct and 2023 (or 2024) is just another refresh like 2019, the beds will still be the same. You won't see a new bed until Stellantis does a full redesign of the Ram HD, and right now, that's not expected until 2027.

Thanks for the heads up but I do have a shell on the 04. Just not the one I am selling which has a different profile. ARE calls it an aerodynamic design but that means it has a rise from front to back which gives you more room getting in and out, especially when using it to camp. About a foot more headroom in the back. As for aerodynamic, I lost one mile per gallon when I put it on the 2014 3500. No loss in mileage on the 04. Might even have picked up .5 per gallon but it's been a long time since I installed it. I like the aero style in spite of the lost milage. Lot easier for my old bones to move around inside.
