Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Long Block Weight

Anyone know what a long block, ready to install, weighs?

i think it is right around 1000 lbs.

600 lbs for short block, and the head wieghs about 150. Thats a bare block no accesories. So I would say about 800 lbs with nothing but the short block and head. I just shipped on through yellow.

Well the whole motor complete minus accessories is 1175 if memory serves me right. (Puly's , manifold + turbo , and Vp44) I think that was the weigh in for NTIMIDATR's engine for the burban swap. Yellow freight did the weigh in and minused the crate weight.

Thanks for the input..... Now to find a HD engine hoist! Doing a shortblock swapout - maybe get in a little massage while I'm at it... .
