my truck has been traveling around texas for 4 days know they keep changing the date it gets to newark nj is this what we are paying 900 dollars for ?????????/ as of the 16 of april it will be 5 months since i ordered truck . I really hope chrysle gets sold and the next owners do a better job and gie a crap about the customer jeff #@$%! #@$%!

Be patient my friend. Na just kidding. As an employee of DCC I do sympathise with your ordeal. It is very frustrating that they can not fix the things that matter to the custemer... timely delivery for one. I hope your truck is worth the wait... sound very nice.

If you had a way to get the railcar number I could look to see where the car is. I work for Union Pacific and know how slow rail transit can be, although it's hard to believe that a load of autos is taking that long. Autoracks as we call them loaded with cars or trucks is a high priority being that U. P has gotten into hot water with slow transit before. Apparently it didn't change things.

I sympathise with your situation although my order went the other way. Ordered 10-29-06,completed and on the train 11-16,arrived Dave Smith Motors 11-29-06. That didn't even leave time for my Farm Bureau rebate to kick in(45 days on a special order,30 days for in stock) but DSM split the difference with me. FYI,the F. B. accounting clerk was sick for ten days and I didn't get credit when I should have. Hope your truck arrives soon!

Yep your right. The car is in Houston (Englewood Yard ) right now scheduled to leave there at midnight tonight. Might be another week at best before it gets to ya. The bad part about this is that if it's on a manifest train ( mix of everything ) and not a dedicated auto train it will take longer. Manifests are lower priority than dedicated auto trains. When I checked on the car all indications were that it was on a manifest train and not a dedicated train. I'll check on it again tomorrow to see it's progress. Also the dealership can call the railroad that currently has the car and place a problem log on it if the delay gets extremely long or if they feel it's taking longer than expected.

Be Patient, it will get here soon enough and you can enjoy it for a long long time. My 95 Dodge/Cummins took 8 1/2 months to get from the time I ordered it. My 05 took only 4 weeks. Just never know.

I ordered mine Oct 05, build date 12/10 in Mexico, it went on a train but went south to the boat docks, then to Baltimore where it was trucked to PA and I received it March 06. newark is only a couple more miles, Guess its not a mexican truck or DC changed how they ship stuff.

I ordered on 3/24, got VIN on 3/28 and found out today truck is built and will possibly be loaded on the train today. Looks like it's been taking approximately two weeks from Mexico to Spokane WA via train.

That's what it takes. If you want it shipped faster, be prepared to pay a whole lot more for shipping.

it funny march 22 they told me it was on a train and how much more than 900 dollars do we have to pay i have watched on the tain tracking since friday its been going up and down in texas
