Competition Power window racing season is here

I am looking for a long travel kit for an 06 4X4. I need the longer travel for a desert recon/chase vehicle. I found this one that has 12 inches of travel out of a 6 inch lift. Does anyone else know of any other kits? Also I would rather spend 7K instead of 10K.

Thanks

Spirson Off-Road

Carli Suspension... 3" lift in the front w/ the same wheel travel as the Spirson kit at 6". Top of the line Carli King 3. 0 System runs around $7,000 or the 2. 5 for $4500. Also they have a new system w/ the Bilstien 2. 65 System.

A lot of accesories to add too, to choose from.

Dodge Ram Suspension, Dodge Suspension and Ford Super Duty Suspension Systems - Carli Suspension, Inc

Thanks, but when I called them, they said they could only swing 10 inches or maybe 11 out of both axles. Thanks for the info, but I was hopping to have at least 1 foot of travel.

:-laf I have been chasing in Baja with my 3" Carli kit for a couple years now.

Trust me it is faster than many of the vehicles entered in the race. Picking a random number for the travel you want :-laf

Stop by the Carli shop and take a ride in one of their shop trucks. 10 inches of travel may surprise you.

Interesting.

Thoughts:
Good, lots of travel. King shocks. Can adjust springs.

Bad, raises center of gravity. Coils on coil overs look really small. Remember, CTD weighs over 1K#. If a front shock breaks, your dead. With the "others" you still have the coil to keep the vehicle moving. Lots of steering components that look subject to damage to me. Makes the truck too high for everyday use. (3 inches and 315s is high enough for me)

I'd say that might be good for slower speed crawling type stuff where bigger tires and lots of articulation are important.

Better than most "mall terrain lift kits"

I wonder how that compares to KORE's Techincal goup. Good find.

I like their kits, but it always comes down to the quality and quantity of travel. The dampening of the shocks will only help so much until the amount of travel becomes the limiting factor. I will call ahead and see if I can take there shop truck out for a test drive, as Spirson does the same thing.

Cheers

The 2 shop trucks,Hemi 2500 on 3" kings and 2500ctd on Bilstein 2. 65s are both very impressive rides. Both trucks are running bumps (same brand as shocks)I have been in both through some gnarly stuff at speed in the dirt Oo.
