Thanks for the help guys. I will take your word for it and not worry about it. If it gets worse I will have it fixed under warranty, It's not something that I feel like I should have to fix IMO. It just struck me that I have been on Dodge forums ALOT in the past year and this is the first I've heard of it "being common", in fact I haven't heard of it at all. I still think sugar coating it by calling it seepage is wrong, so I will use the word "leak". :-laf Thanks.

I completely sympathise with you one this one. I also would jump to a Toyota IF they could provide a true full size with a comparably powerful turbo diesel. They don't, so it is only a fantasy for now. If they do, I think it will help bring the quality up which would be good for all of us, so I would be careful to not bash the notion anyway ;)

It is everywhere BTW, not just on a Dodge with a $46k sticker. In '01 I bought a new top of the line MB sedan ($132k sticker). I didn't even get it home without having to make a stop at the dealer, talk about PO'ed.

I enjoy mine for what it is, a big powerful beast with a few flaws but quite a bit of personality for a truck.

Is this type of leak covered under the powertrain warranty 7/70 or only the 3yr/36,000... If it's not part of the long-block sometimes they will not consider it covered. I'm just curious if they'll fix it... probably charge you the $100 if your over 36,000.

All my trucks have had seepage around some gaskets. Doesnt' faze me in the slightest; have never had a problem. Tough to define "leak" versus "seepage"; but a little seepage isn't anything to be bothered by IMO.

I wholeheartedly agree.

It's SEEPAGE, they all do it , Just clean it off once in a while and be over it !! I clean mine all the time, can't tell it has over 66k on it already !!

I wholeheartedly agree.

I would have to side with Coolslice on this one. It is a leak and is covered by the 100k engine warranty.

So far my '05 does not leak. My '92 and '99 never had any leaks except for a seeping rear main on the '92. The '92 has over 240k and the '99 has over 178k and still no leaks on the '99. I may be all wet, but I expect the same out of my '05 as I got out of my '99.

Well I don't. Buy a bottle of engiine dye at Napa or somewher(about $5 bucks)leave it in about 2k and black light out. Curious of results. I might do this. Curious to results.

I have a few leaks on my 95 too, (actually, lots of leaks) but then it is 10 years old now. I finally fixed the problem. I just put a nice pan on the floor under the truck and empty to out every few weeks.
