CAT warranties B100

New 05 TDI...

Yep, I bet your right. That little sticker will pretty much cover the ability to strengthen your baby. :( So how long do you think it will be before the others jump on board this wagon

It's nothing more than a sticker.

Right on. Its just a sticker reminding prospective bombers that adding parts to your truck may not be covered under warranty. This will help with the unsuspecting customer who gets surprised when warranty is denied for adding box or lift, etc.

Can't blame them a bit.

I'm sure that if you read the warranty manual for our trucks, it will say the same thing. Nothing new. They could have said it more clearly... "you are your own warranty station".

Too bad that the manufacturers don't build the truck that many want from the gitgo. Built transmission, stacked boxes, KORE suspension, huge weight rating, etc. Then charge for it (like they don't already), but warranty it. Then you could get the performance that you want, at a price, with warranty. Then all the go fast dodads can be paid for on your original loan! :D

I wonder if this is signaling a new era in "creative" warranty voiding.

"Sir, we see you've got a Line-X bedliner. Since Line-X is not EPA certified, we won't be honoring the warranty on your engine. Have a nice day!"
