Need Help with Standyne Roosa Master Injection Pump

SMALLEST dog in the US!

I nailed a big buck last night.

The truck is still drivable, but I'm sure it's 12-15 hundred dollars worth of damage.

At the shop we're scheduling for the 3rd week of December... :(

And I'm working late evenings and weekends...

Not too many deer here. When there are, theyre not too big. Lots of wild turkey though... suprisingly enough.

I've been watching how the yuppies react. They stop for them (actually I do to). ~but~ if one ran a turkey over and I saw it, it would be in the bed of the truck. . pronto!!:D

Hope your truck turns out OK.

Eric

Thanks

I came to the shop this morning and wrote the estimate ...

$1842. 03

It happened about a 1/4 mile from where I live, when I came by this A. M, the deer wasn't there. It happened where there are two fields on each side of the road, so it either survived or one of the local hunters snatched it up.

Damage:

Rt headlihght asmbly, front bumper, rt fender dented; condenser pushed back into intercooler.

I lucked out last week, just getting ready to pass a slow car when it hit a deer. Looked like it totaled the Camry, the front end had started to bend back under the rig starting at the windshield, air bag went off. Wasn't even dark yet. Gave a very shaken but unhurt senior citizen a ride home to her husband and telephone.

Sorry to hear about the damage on your truck. That's a bigger blow to the wallet than I'd have guessed. Thanks for posting the numbers - now I can justify the $800 I spent on that big ol' Ranch Hand Deer Strainer on the front of my rig.

As a thought, you might poke around either here or on Ebay. With all the custom bumpers available, there's probably a lot of originals in good shape to be had cheaper than buying through a dealer or body shop.

Any accident you can walk away from...

If you are unhurt that is the blessing. The truck can be fixed. You on the other hand may not fare as well...

My coworker took a deer full on with his week old 99 Ram gaser. His tally was both headlights, full grill, hood, and bumper. Don't forget the cost of 2 airbags, too.

cheers;

Yeh, the deer have been getting whacked big time around me too. We had a semi with about 9500 gal of propane (is that right?) whack one last week. Guy rode the rail for about 200 feet before he went over and down the bank. Same spot where another lost his life not long ago but this guy was lucky. Mostly just damaged his jocky's. You would think he would have just blasted the deer but in the heat of the moment things go south.

Deer are a real problem here (western PA) day or nite. I see deer along the road 6 out of 7 days per week, slow down/swerve/blow horn to miss them about 2 days per week. About twice a month have full brake lock-up/smoke from all four tires. I often take a 5 minute trip to town and on the way back there is a dead deer along the road where none was just 10 minutes before. I long, long ago quit driving a "nice" vehicle for everyday/go to work use just for this reason, drive a 21 year old Dodge (naturally) with 330,000+ miles/4 deer encounters with hundreds of near misses.

It hasn't been long since I got my truck back from my last deer incident and I almost hit two more the other morning. Bad thing was, the sun was right in my eyes and I didn't see them until they had already passed in front of me. Luckily I was just idling along about 20mph.
