I've had rat problems big time and I drive my truck every day. I hardly have any insulation on the firewall anymore. They eat D-Con like it's daily dessert. I finally caught a pack rat with a big trap and that stopped 'em for awhile. But they're back now - or maybe it's mice this time. I have bags of moth balls hanging in the engine compartment. But I look at it like this: the more my insulation goes away, the more my truck clatters like a diesel. Now if they start chewing wires, that's another matter. It should be easy for DC to put something in insulation that rats didn't like to eat. I'd pay money for it.

Roadkill, if discovered early enough, can help out if someone is on a low per diem. Especially if the motel where you're staying has a fridge. Southern Indiana has a gentleman's rule on roadkill: finders keepers. :-laf
