Looked at an 06' today

Went by the local Dodge dealer today to look at an 06, for fun. They had a 05' and 06' parked next to each other and the front end didn't look that different. I don't think most non-Dodge people will even notice. The interior looked alright, but the one thing I didn't like was the center seat storage. It's only about half as deep as mine is. Not extremely useful. The experience was kind of a relief as I wasn't completely sure if I would have 05' buyers remorse or not. Not.

Yeah and I don't like where they relocated the CTD emblem on the front fender either. It looks like a mistake and I did a double take when I first saw it.

Saw a 06 Mega Cab at the California State Fair in Sacramento last weekend. The factory rep came over to answer questions, but left quickly when I asked about a Maga Cab with a longbed, and when Dodge would have something to compete with Ford 450/550.



It was interesting to note how little payload the Mega Cab was rated for. Geez why don't they put a roof over the bed and make it a SUV. Probably sell a bunch.

local dodge dealer had 05 and 06 side by side, i didnt think it looked bad from the front, but the side view of the 06 was another story... .

Gents, I have no 2005 buyer's remorse at all! If I wanted a "Big Dakota" :-laf I would have waited another year before I bought! I like my 1 Ton Quad Cab Long Bed! If you want all that room in the cab then buy a Suburban!

So far the new styling isn't working very well. It seems most think the trucks look fine, but we're not exactly selling our trucks to run out and buy a new one. That's what they want, to sell new ones.

Did they change the power train in any way?

Changes to the Tow/Haul feature now allow OD lockout and the 48RE is compatable with an exhaust brake.
